An unexpected situation caught the attention of drivers this Tuesday afternoon (18). A hearse was still moving when the funeral urn ended up falling onto the road, surprising those passing by. The scene was recorded by people traveling along Avenida Colombo, close to Trevo do Catuaí, in Maringá, and quickly spread across social media.
People who witnessed the moment helped the driver put the coffin back in the vehicle. After managing to reposition the ballot box and close the back, the driver resumed his journey.

The company Prever, responsible for transportation, sent a statement explaining that a failure in the urn’s fastening strap generated pressure on the rear door, which ended up opening during the journey. According to the note, the fleet undergoes constant reviews, and the episode is considered isolated.
The funeral home said it replaced the urn immediately and notified the family of the situation. The company also stated that it is reinforcing internal security protocols to prevent similar cases from occurring again.
On social media, the episode generated jokes, memes and questions, further expanding the repercussion of the incident.
