Doha – The march of Austria’s U17 footballers at the World Cup in Doha continued on Friday. Team boss Hermann Stadler’s selection beat Japan 1-0 in the quarter-finals, as so often the goalscorer was Johannes Moser. This is the first time in 18 years that an ÖFB youth selection has reached a World Cup semi-final; the U20 achieved this in 2007.
