Lima – Former Peruvian head of state Martín Vizcarra has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for corruption. A court in the capital Lima found it proven that the ex-president (2018-2020) had accepted bribes from construction companies when awarding public contracts in 2014 during his time as governor of Moquegua province.
