With one of her majestic and elegant dresses-coats and with a firm and serene step, Melania Trump has complied with the North American tradition that it is the president’s wife who shows the white house christmas decoration. This year, in addition, has coincided with the 250 years since the founding of the USA, which will be celebrated on July 4, 2026an anniversary that is undoubtedly palpable in the motifs distributed throughout all the rooms of the residence, as seen in the video released by the first lady.
The inspiration for the 2025 theme, ‘Home is where the heart is,’ emerged from the joys, challenges and constant movement that come with motherhood and business, the Office of the First Lady said.
“Constant movement has taught me that home is not just a physical space; it is the warmth and comfort that I carry inside, regardless of my environment,” Melania explained. “This Christmas, let’s celebrate the love we carry within us and share it with the world around us. Ultimately, wherever we are, we can create a home full of grace, radiance and infinite possibilities,” he concluded.

Decorations include 75 crowns with red bows in the windows of the Casa del Pueblo, in addition to more than 50 Christmas trees, 213 meters of garlands, 2,800 gold stars in honor of soldiers and their families, 7,670 meters of ribbons and 30,000 butterflies adorn the halls. In the Blue Room of the White House is the official White House Christmas tree, from Sydney, Michiganwhich the first lady received last week.
Melania has collaborated with her leading designer, Hervé Pierreto “oversee the implementation of your creative vision” in the room.
This year’s decorations have been in preparation for months. The first lady’s office revealed in August that Christmas planning was already underway.

He East Room They highlight the blue, red and white colors of the American flag and other national symbols.
In it Green Room family fun is celebrated with two puzzles of more than 6,000 pieces each with images of the first American president, George Washington, and Donald Trump, while the Red Room focuses on youth and the first lady’s ‘Be Best’ social awareness initiative.
He main lobby exhibits part of the White House nativity scenecurrently under restoration, and a gingerbread house reproduces the south porch of the emblematic residence, with a view of the Yellow Oval Room in the private area of the building.
