Specifically, the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces has published a statement on its official account on the social network negotiations with Ukraine for the transfer of MIG-29 aircraft.
“This transfer is based on these having reached their expected useful life and on the lack of modernization prospects within the Polish Armed Forces,” the text justifies. However, the Polish armed forces have stressed that “A final decision has not yet been made.”

Regarding drone technology, the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces has explained that “simultaneously, in relation to the transfer of aircraft, negotiations are being carried out with Ukraine for the supply of selected drone and missile technologies to Poland”.
In this sense, the Polish armed forces have highlighted that “the objective is not only to compensate Poland for the loss of equipment, but, above all, jointly acquire and develop new competencies in defense and industry”.
