Members of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic will discuss the vetoed law on the transformation of the Whistleblower Protection Office (ÚOO) into a new office on Thursday. They will start the discussion after a 30-minute break. The debate will continue until the point is fully discussed, if necessary, i.e. after 8:00 p.m., but without voting. The debate is shortened to 12 hours. Parliament agreed to changes in the program. More than 30 speakers signed up for the debate.
The next vote is scheduled to take place on Friday (December 12) at 10:00 a.m. The MPs also agreed on the voting date, as Fridays are not usually voting days. Legislators will return to the benches on Friday at 9:00 a.m., when an extraordinary meeting is called to address the failure of the Minister of Economy in targeted energy aid initiated by the opposition. They should then continue with the regular meeting.
