Even after recovering from a calf injury, the midfielder Rodrigo Garro started Cruzeiro x Corinthians this Wednesday (10/12) on the bench. Last Tuesday (09/12), he had already trained among the substitutes in the final activity led by coach Dorival Júnior before today’s game, at Mineirão, in the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil 2025.
There are no details as to whether Dorival Júnior’s option is due to a tactical choice or whether Garro has some type of physical disadvantage due to the time he was stopped.
Garro last played on November 30th, when he was a starter and captain in a 2-2 draw against Botafogo. On that occasion, he was substituted in the 29th minute of the second half. After that, he was out of the final two rounds of the Brasileirão.
The only casualty in the Corinthians squad this Wednesday is midfielder Raniele, who is not playing due to edema in his left ankle.
