“Justice made the best decision”, says Mailza after annulment of evidence against Gladson

The vice-governor of Acre, Mailza Assis, said this Saturday (20) to the ContilNet, that the decision of the 2nd Panel of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), which recognized the illegality of the Operation Ptolemy evidence against Governor Gladson Camelí, confirmed the understanding that had been defended since the beginning of the process.

According to Mailza, the Court fulfilled its role in conducting the investigations and evaluating the elements presented. For her, the outcome of the trial was already expected given the content of the evidence analyzed. “The Court is there for this, to make decisions and carry out investigations. The Court decided the direction of the governor’s case”, he declared.

UNDERSTAND:

The deputy governor also stated that the decision represents what the state government maintained throughout the case. According to Mailza Assis, the result of the trial brought satisfaction to management. “It was a decision that is what we always said, what we already expected given the evidence we had”, he stated, adding that the assessment is that the Court made the best decision.

The STF’s decision was announced by Governor Gladson Camelí on Friday night (19). He reported that the trial ended with the recognition of the illegality of the evidence and the consequent annulment of the material produced against him. Camelí also declared that it will continue with its institutional activities normally.
