Birmingham – Aston Villa continued its fairytale winning streak in the Premier League and shot Manchester United back into crisis just before Christmas. In the clash between two former European Cup champions, Villa won 2-1 (1-1) on Sunday and remains third in the table with 36 points, close behind the top duo FC Arsenal (39) and Manchester City (37).
