The state of Burgenland is taking over 70 percent of the shares in the “Neue Eisenstädter” housing company, which it recently accused of several misconducts following a special audit. With the takeover, the ongoing proceedings against the housing developer will be discontinued and the appointed government commissioner will be removed, the Burgenland State Media Service announced on Tuesday evening. The previous main owners will now hold a blocking minority.
