The (Comptroller General of the Union) opened PADs (disciplinary administrative proceedings) and recommended the dismissal of at least 14 intelligence officers and federal police officers allegedly involved in the . Even agents who were not involved are targets of the lawsuits.
The CGU calls for the dismissal of public servants for different episodes attributed to the (Brazilian Intelligence Agency) during the general direction of and his successor, Victor Carneiro, in the Jair Bolsonaro government ().
One of the cases cited is that of journalist Luiza Alves Bandeira, from DFRLab (Digital Forensic Research Lab), linked to the non-profit organization Atlantic Council. During the Bolsonaro government, the researcher mapped social media pages, profiles and groups that spread attacks and fake news.

Based on DFRLab mapping, Facebook and Instagram removed 88 accounts in 2020 coordinated by the so-called “hate office” of the Presidency and by employees linked to senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) and the then federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP).
The PF investigation into the parallel Abin points out that, with the removal, there was an explicit request from Frank Oliveira, former deputy director of the agency, and Marcelo Bormevet, federal police officer and former general coordinator of the CIN (National Intelligence Center), to “poke” and “explode” the journalist.
Public servants were notified by the Comptroller General of the Union on December 19 for defense. The initial deadline of ten days was extended for another 15.
As was formed by the CGU’s general internal affairs department on November 14, Ramagem is also named in the process. Today, he was fired from the Federal Police on December 3 after being convicted of an attempted coup d’état.
