Kajínek spoke about the arrest of Vémol: I spoke with Karlos! THIS does not suit him at all

On Tuesday, December 23, the police and customs officers intervened in the village of Měchenice near Prague directly in the villa Karlos Vémola, who was detained and accused of particularly serious organized crime related to drugs. Two other people faced serious charges. The most famous former Czech prisoner also added his own to the reactions of famous faces. Jiří Kajínek revealed his opinion on the whole case in a video on .

The Prague court decided on the custodial prosecution of the fighter due to fears of a possible escape. He is currently facing up to 18 years in prison. In the past, he was already convicted of a drug offense in Great Britain, for which he served several months in prison.

The police raid took place on the day he was due to go to hospital for jaw surgery, as he was suffering from acute inflammation. However, Vémol’s health condition in detention deteriorated so much that on Tuesday, December 30, he underwent surgery at the dental surgery department of the General University Hospital in Prague.

The news about the MMA wrestler’s detention did not go unnoticed Jiří Kajínek, who spent 23 years behind bars and he was freed thanks to a presidential pardon in 2017. By his side in the most difficult moments was the clinical psychologist Magda Gubová, whom he married in May 2024. “When I saw the justification today, the imposition of detention on Karlos Vémola, I thought it was time for me to say something too.” he declared at the beginning.

He warned fans that he has no secret sources or exclusive knowledge. “Obviously, it doesn’t matter, I’m based on information that is available to everyone. I don’t have any inside information, no one I know has called me to tell me something that the rest of you don’t know.” clarified.

“If the police wanted to show people what it is, they showed it beautifully. If she wanted to create the impression in a wider circle, in the wider public, that there are people we cannot like, then they succeeded. Based on what I read and hear, the vast majority of people criticize the police,” Kajínek made a critical statement.

The most famous Czech prisoner explained that he fundamentally distances himself from prohibited substances. “I am not here to stand up for drug dealers and promote drugs. On the contrary, all of you who know me know that I am fundamentally against drugs. I’ve never had anything to do with drugs and I don’t want to have anything to do with it. I definitely do not support anyone who is interested in solving anything with drugs,” clarified his strong position.

He recognizes Vémola as a wrestler. “He has done a lot for the sport and few can match him. No one can say a single word in this regard.” stated. “As for his arrest, well… I can’t evaluate on what basis the police arrested him because we live in a crazy country. We live in a country where even the lawyer of the person who is in detention does not know on the basis of which evidence the detention was imposed on him,” claims Kajínek about the reason for the intervention.

He also does not like the timing of the detention. “I ask, where is the evidence that Karlos Vémola has committed something… so a person is ambushed at the moment he is about to undergo an operation, because he’s in terrible pain and the day before Christmas… it’s terrible. They raid him, detain him and put him in a detention center (pre-trial detention cell, editor’s note), where they can hold him for 48 hours… Does anyone want to tell me that if he had been arrested a week later, the whole case would have collapsed?” Kajínek asks.

In his opinion, part of the public believes that the intervention had a completely different goal. “The public thinks that you wanted to blackmail Karel. It will be really very difficult to explain this to someone,” shocked the ex-prisoner again with the words intended for the lawman.

At the end of the video, he added his personal experience. “I spoke with Karlos on Saturday. He didn’t look like he was dying. I don’t know if he was under any sedatives. The amazing thing about him was that he came to a charity event, auctioned off a painting and helped two sick little girls.” Kajínek added.
