A year ago it looked like this article wouldn’t even exist. At least not in this form. The negotiations for Austria’s first black-red-pink federal government were on a knife’s edge – and were shelved shortly afterwards. For now, as it soon became clear. Then, after a blue-black negotiation interlude, the ÖVP, SPÖ and Neos, as is well known, pulled themselves together to form a coalition.
