Kitzbühel – Two skiers were partially buried by an avalanche near the Streif slope in Kitzbühel on Wednesday at 1 p.m. A third notified the emergency services, and the buried victims were freed just under an hour later, the Tyrol control center reported. A spokesman for the Kitzski mountain railway explained that the three boys from the region probably triggered the avalanche themselves when they drove into a snow depot in a closed area of the Streif.
