Thieves stole eight coils of copper wire and 80 meters of plastic cables, in addition to the guards’ cell phones, which were surrendered in the action
A laboratory was robbed during New Year’s Eve, in the early hours of Wednesday (31st) and Thursday (1st). The robbers entered the USP Institute of Energy and Environment at 11:57 pm. The building is located in Cidade Universitária, in the west zone of the capital of São Paulo. They left a few minutes later, at midnight on the 1st.
“The institute is collaborating with the police, who are investigating the case, including providing images from the camera circuit,” USP said in a statement. The case was registered in the 91st Police District, Butantã, Ceagesp. The thieves stole eight coils of copper wire and 80 meters of plastic cables, as well as the guards’ cell phones, which were surrendered in the action.
