Paulistão 2026 will keep the final in two games; check the dates

The São Paulo Football Federation (FPF) confirmed this Wednesday (31), that the 2026 final will be played in two games, round trip, as in previous editions. The decision matches will be held on March 4th and 8th. According to the entity, adjustments to the Brazilian football calendar for next year, due to the dispute, allowed the state final to be played in two games.

In an official note, the entity thanked the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) for the possibility of maintaining the format of the state decision, which meets the clubs’ wishes.

“The São Paulo Football Federation would like to thank the CBF president, Samir The finals, therefore, will take place on March 4th and March 8th, with round-trip games”, the FPF announced in a post on Instagram.

With the changes to the 2026 calendar, Paulistão starts earlier than usual, on January 10th. It is worth noting that the competition will also feature a new format next year, with eight rounds in the initial phase, in addition to knockout matches in single games in the quarterfinals and semifinals.
