The legally more than questionable arguments of the USA after the attack on Venezuela

International law is clear: the US attack and the kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro were illegal under international law; this is undisputed among experts. The prohibition of force in the UN Charter prohibits attacking other states. There are no exceptions such as the right to self-defense or a UN Security Council resolution. For the attack on Iraq in 2003, which was classified as contrary to international law, the USA still tried to obtain approval from the UN Security Council.
