A thousand students took the Unicamp-UFScar indigenous entrance exam

Comvest (Permanent Committee for Unicamp Entrance Exams) applied, last Sunday, January 11th, the Indigenous Entrance Exam 2026 test, unified between UFSCar and Unicamp.

In total, 1,098 students took the testwhich was applied in five cities in the country: Campinas (SP), Recife (PE), Santarém (PA), São Gabriel da Cachoeira (AM) and Tabatinga (AM).

Drop in abstention

Comvest recorded a slight drop in abstention rates compared to the previous edition, which decreased from 46.8% to 46,1% in the 2026 Entrance Exam. Of the 2,037 registered, 941 did not show up to take the exam.

The lowest absentee rate was recorded in the city of São Gabriel da Cachoeira, with abstention at 40.5%, below the general average. In Campinas, 137 candidates took the test (51.8% abstention). The table with indices by city is available on the website.

The test administered and the answer sheet for the questions are available for consultation on the Comvest website. The exam consisted of 50 multiple-choice questions, as follows: Languages ​​and codes (14 questions); Natural Sciences (12 questions); Mathematics (12 questions); Human Sciences (12 questions); and an editorial team.

A writing test brought the option of two proposals for students to choose one of them to be carried out, both suggested a reflection on Artificial intelligence.

The first proposal asked candidates to draft a manifesto demanding indigenous participation in the development of generative AI.

The second proposal asked students to write a report in their field diary as a young person involved in a research project to build an AI aimed at preserving an indigenous language.

Comvest will disclose of those called for registration February 2, 2026on its website.

Registration of those called for this call must be carried out online, from 9 am on February 3rd until 5 pm on February 4th, via the internet, on the Comvest website. The second call will be announced on February 9th. They are planned up to five calls.

At , this is the 19th edition of the admission modality for indigenous students and at Unicamp, the eighth. Unicamp offers 130 places, distributed across all courses at the University, and UFSCar offers up to two places, in 65 different course options.
