Brussels – The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has become involved following recalls of baby food in connection with the toxic substance cereulide. The EU Commission asked the authority based in Parma, Italy, to assess how dangerous cereulide is for infants, as Efsa announced. The aim is to set guidelines as to when contaminated products should be taken off the market as a precautionary measure.
