Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has called on the military to respond to Russia’s intensified attacks on logistics and railway infrastructure, with widespread damage severely affecting the country’s energy system.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered the army command to respond to the increasing number of Russian attacks against transport infrastructure. TASR informs about it according to the report of the AFP agency.
“The Russian army continues to focus on terror against our logistics – primarily the railway infrastructure. Specifically, there were attacks in the Dnepropetrovsk region and in Zaporizhia,” Zelenskyy said on social networks.
Serious consequences of attacks
He added that the country’s energy system remains severely affected by recent Russian infrastructure attacks. According to him, there are still more than 200 buildings without heating in the capital city of Kyiv, while temperatures in the area have dropped to minus 17 degrees Celsius.
Zelensky reported on attacks on some energy facilities in the areas near the front and on the border. He added that there were no “targeted attacks by Russian missiles or Iranian Shahid-type drones on energy infrastructure.”
