Venezuela’s parliament votes for amnesty law

Caracas – The Venezuelan parliament has voted for an amnesty law that should lead to the release of all political prisoners. The National Assembly in Caracas unanimously approved the text of the law in its first reading on Thursday. The amnesty should, among other things, apply to all those who were accused of “terrorism”, “treason to the fatherland” and “incitement to hatred”.
