Amber reduces its position in Indra with the sale of 2% of its capital | Companies

The British fund Amber Capital has divested nearly 2% of the capital of the Spanish company Indra, of which until now it owned 7.2%, as confirmed by sources from the investment group. After the operation, which did not need to be communicated to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) because it still maintains a presence of more than 5%, Amber remains the fourth largest shareholder of Indra, behind SEPI (28%), Escribano (14%) and Sapa (8%). At this Tuesday’s price, 2% of Indra is valued at around 175 million euros.

The transaction means for Amber (the largest shareholder of Grupo Prisa, publisher of CincoDías and EL PAÍS) to materialize significant latent capital gains. The irruption, with the purchase of 4.18% of the technology and defense company. Since then, its value has increased strongly, almost 350%, with 2025 being especially positive, in which Indra was the most bullish company of the 35 Ibex companies, with a rise of 184%.

The strong growth booming in the face of European rearmament plans and the prospects of integration with Escribano boosted the value. However, in the last month the stock has lost close to 15% due to SEPI’s reservations regarding the merger with EM&E. Indra shares fell almost 2% on the stock market this Tuesday. Its market capitalization is close to 9,000 million euros.
