The former councilor also reported that medical and Federal Police reports indicated that the former president has ‘almost ten relevant comorbidities and a high risk of death’
Former councilor Carlos Bolsonaro (PL-SC) said this Tuesday (10) that the defense will file a new request for the former president to be placed under house arrest. Through a publication on his profile on X (formerly Twitter), the second son of the reserve captain argued that “this is a humanitarian, necessary and legally supported measure”.
“My father’s defense today presents a request reiterating the granting of house arrest. as well as the assistant doctor’s report are categorical in pointing out almost ten relevant comorbidities and the high risk of death to which President Jair Bolsonaro is subjected”, wrote Carlos.
Bolsonaro has been detained at the 19th Military Police Battalion of the Federal District, Papudinha, since January 15th. A medical opinion prepared by PF experts concluded that the former president’s health condition requires continuous monitoring, but does not prevent him from remaining in prison. The clinical evaluation was carried out on January 20th.
Bolsonaro is serving a sentence of 27 years and three months in prison for the coup plot devised by him and high-ranking military personnel in the 2022 elections.
