Gleisi sings a samba that pays homage to Lula – 02/10/2026 – Brasília Hoje

The Minister of Institutional Relations, , sang an excerpt from the samba-plot of Acadêmicos de Niterói that pays homage to the president (), during a session this Tuesday (10) in celebration of the 46th anniversary of the Workers’ Parties.

“Let’s take advantage of this, so we can also play, have fun. Let’s enjoy President Lula’s samba-plot. This samba-plot is very beautiful, it tells Lula’s life”, stated the former PT president. He then intoned: “How much does hunger cost? How much life matters. Our surname is Brasil da Silva.”

“That’s what we really have to do. It’s to sing this samba with joy. Celebrate this Carnival with joy. Without false myths and without amnesty”, concluded the minister at the end of her speech, in an indirect criticism of the former president (PL), dubbed a “myth” by supporters, and the bill that reduces the sentences of those involved in the coup plot.

After Gleisi Hoffmann’s speech, PT members present at the Congress session shouted: “Hello, hello, hello, hello, Lula, Lula”.

The president will be present at the Rio de Janeiro sambadrome to watch the presentation of the story “From the top of the mulungu, hope arises: Lula, the worker of Brazil”. The parade in honor of the PT member will be held on Carnival Saturday, February 15th.

The complaint is based on the fact that the samba schools in the Rio de Janeiro Carnival special group receive federal sponsorship. There is also criticism about the supposed early election campaign.
