was awarded the gold seal of the National Literacy Child Commitment, from the Lula administration.
In 2024, 58% of students in state and municipal networks were classified at the appropriate level, one point above the target.
In the evaluation, items such as teacher training, periodic assessments and distribution of teaching materials are taken into account. The state reached 118 points on a scale that goes up to 150. The previous year, São Paulo had received the silver seal.
“The gold seal is confirmation of solid work and collaboration with São Paulo’s municipalities. For the first time, São Paulo plays the role of coordinating state educational policy,” says Renato Feder, São Paulo’s Secretary of Education.
