Petrobras fuel sales grow in 2025 with support from imports

Petrobras increased fuel sales to the domestic market in 2025 compared to the previous year, despite a decline in the production of derivatives in the period, counting on an increase in imports, showed data published by the company this Tuesday.

Last year, the company sold 1.747 million barrels per day (bpd) of oil products on the domestic market, an increase of 1.6% compared to 2024, driven by strong demand for diesel, gasoline and aviation kerosene (QAV), which accounted for 74% of sales.

Only Petrobras’ sales of diesel – the most sold fuel in Brazil – grew 5.2% in the period, to 763 thousand bpd, in the face of greater economic activity and the growth of grain harvests, which increased consumption in agricultural and logistics operations.
