US suspended 99% of aid to Ukraine. Who started paying?

New figures on aid to Ukraine – and the billions of euros that, especially Germany, is spending on the war.

Donald Trump had already warned and, when he returned to the White House, he complied: in March of last year, suspended military aid to Ukraine.

Later, and between advances and setbacks, in July, the US suspended some shipments of air defense missiles and other ammunition to Ukraine – out of fear that it would have fewer weapons internally.

New figures on aid to Ukraine, from , show that US support fell 98.96% in 2025compared to 2024.

Two years ago US military support was 46.39 billion euros; Last year, this aid to Ukraine dropped to less than 500 million euros.

A Europa had to compensate largely this collapse, highlights Die Welt.

A help military of European Union increased nearly 67% between 2024 and 2025: it was 17 billion euros and rose to 28.5 billion euros last year.

A Germany is, by far, the one who contributes the most to the Ukrainian forces: 9 billion euros. Follow United Kingdom (5.4 billion) and Sweden (3.7 billion), before Norway e Denmark.

The recalls that Matthew Whitaker, US representative to NATO, said that the US does not plan to stop supplying weapons to Ukraine; will help through NATO.

The US will also have agreed to sell spare parts to Ukraine for military equipment already in service with Ukrainian forces.
