The PF revealed that the minister was mentioned several times on the cell phone of Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master; magistrate is rapporteur of the case involving the company in the STF
Senators Eduardo Girão (CE) and Marcel Van Hattem (RS), both from the Novo party, announced this Thursday (12) that filed a new impeachment request of the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Toffoli Days following revelations from the Federal Police (PF).
The PF revealed that oDaniel Vorcaro. Toffoli is the rapporteur of the case involving the company at the Supreme Court.
Girão classified the information disclosed in the PF report as “very serious revelations”. For the parliamentarian, the document confirms the request for suspicion previously made by parliamentarians, which, according to the senator, received no response from the PGR (Attorney General’s Office).
In addition to the impeachment request, the senator announced another request for suspicion about the minister’s role in the case. The PF also called for Toffoli’s suspicion last Wednesday (11), due to data obtained from Vorcaro’s cell phone.
The request, however, can only be made by the PGR, Paulo Gonet. This is the fourth request to remove Toffoli from the STF. Three have already been denied by the prosecutor’s office.
PF revelations
A PF sent last Monday (9) to the president of the STFEdson Fachin, a report on the data analyzed from the cell phone of Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master.
The investigation found several mentions of Minister Toffoli, rapporteur of the case at the STF. In a note issued by the office, Toffoli said that the request “is about conclusions”. Based on article 145 of the Code of Civil Procedure, the judge also argued that the corporation “does not have legitimacy” to make the request.
