Madrid – FC Barcelona suffered a massive defeat in the first leg of the Spanish Football Cup semi-final. The Catalans lost 4-0 at Atletico Madrid on Thursday and therefore have little chance of reaching the final on April 18 against the winners of Athletic Bilbao against Real Sociedad before the return match on March 3rd. The goals by Eric Garcia (7th/own goal), Antoine Griezmann (14th), Ademola Lookman (33rd) and Julian Alvarez (45th + 2) came before the half-time whistle.
