Warsaw – Polish border guards have arrested eight suspected smugglers who are said to have illegally brought cigarettes from Belarus to the EU member state using weather balloons. A spokeswoman for the authority said on Friday that there were four Polish and four Lithuanian citizens between the ages of 20 and 44. They are accused, among other things, of serious tax crimes and violations of the law to protect national security.
