Cortina d’Ampezzo – Janine Flock won Olympic gold in skeleton and received late satisfaction. The 36-year-old Tyrolean maintained her lead on Saturday after three runs in the Cortina ice track in the final run and prevailed ahead of the Germans Susanne Kreher (+0.30 seconds) and Jacqueline Pfeifer (+0.44). In 2018, Flock missed out on an Olympic medal as leader by two hundredths of a second after three runs; this didn’t happen again in 2026.
