The PF () launched an operation this Friday (12) to investigate the diversion of public resources intended for works on unpaved sections of BR-156, in Amapá. Federal deputy Vinícius Gurgel (PL-AP) is one of the targets.
In a statement, the PF reported having executed eight search and seizure warrants in the state. The action was authorized by the minister of the (Supreme Federal Court), rapporteur of the case.
The crimes investigated are criminal organization, corruption and bid fraud. This is an offshoot of Operation Pedágio, launched in 2019.
An ally of the mayor of Macapá, Dr. Furlan (MDB), the deputy is being investigated in an inquiry at the STF for allegedly directing the bidding process for the contracting of maintenance services for BR-156 and influencing the nomination of names to the Dnit Superintendence (National Department of Infrastructure and Transport) of Amapá.
The mayor of Tartarugalzinho (AP), Bruno Mineiro (União Brasil), signed a plea bargain in the case. He is an ally of the president of , (União Brasil-AP), the government leader in Congress, (PT-AP) and the state governor, Clécio Luís (União Brasil).
