Carnival: SP samba school parades start this Friday (13)

The parades of the samba schools of the São Paulo Carnival Special Group begin this Friday (13th), with seven groups passing through the avenue on the first night of performances at the Anhembi Sambadrome.

Mocidade Unida da Mooca opens the parades at 11pm, followed by Colorado do Brás, which will present the plot “The witch is loose – Senhoras do Saber Renascem na Colorado”.

Next, Dragões da Real, Acadêmicos do Tatuapé, Rosas de Ouro (current champion), Vai Vai and Barroca Zona Sul will pass through the avenue, completing the .

The themes chosen by schools for this year are quite diverse, ranging from stories about the medium Chico Xavier and slave girls.

Each association worked for months preparing the floats, costumes and choreography that promise to delight the public present at the sambadrome.

At the concentration, where everything begins before the splendor of the avenue, the final adjustments are made to the floats and costumes.

The car pushers, identified by orange uniforms, said a prayer asking for positive energy so that everything goes well during the presentations.

Second night and counting

The other seven schools in the Special Group will parade in the early hours of Saturday (14) to Sunday (15), completing the 14 associations competing for the title in 2026.

On Tuesday (17), when the champion of this year’s São Paulo Carnival will be announced, which could be a new winner or the consecration of Rosas de Ouro’s second title.
