Senate

The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), and the former president talked about Senate vacancies in São Paulo already

According to the columnist of Young Pan Beatriz Manfredini, Tarcísio demonstrated concern about the scenario. The reading is that the right could end up losing both seats “if it doesn’t work well”. So far, the group only goes by the name Derrite.

High-ranking members of the Palácio dos Bandeirantes stated that Tarcísio explained this scenario to Bolsonaro. AND defended that the second vacancy be occupied by someone more central. In the opinion of the state governor, today, Derrite occupies the position of someone more aligned with the Bolsonaro discourse and therefore, now, it is necessary to find a more moderate name.
