The Prague police intervened at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University due to threats and detained a suspicious academic, but no one was in any danger. The investigation of the case continues.
On Tuesday morning, Czech police intervened in three buildings of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University (FSV UK) in Prague due to threats. They detained one person, the police said on the X social network. According to the Novinky.cz server, it is an academic employee of the school, informs the reporter of TASR in Prague.

“Prague police received a notification about a possible threat directed at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University. Measures were immediately taken to ensure the safety of all persons. In connection with the notification, the police restricted the personal freedom of one person,” the police wrote, stating that no one is in any danger.
The investigation continues
The spokesperson of the faculty, Kristýna Springorum, said that the police searched for the person in three buildings of the faculty, but he was not found in them. She added that an investigation is currently underway. According to the Seznam Správy server, students were informed about the police intervention by a security SMS.
The buildings of FSV UK are located on Smetana nábreží in the center of Prague, in Opletalova Street near the main train station and in the remote Jinonice district.
