“I have a history in the PSDB that Alan doesn’t have”, says Bocalom

Bocalom afirmou que a disputa por apoio partidário é natural no cenário eleitoral, mas ressaltou sua ligação histórica com o PSDB.

The mayor of Rio Branco, , stated that he has a consolidated career in the party and said that his relationship with the party is older than that of Senator Alan Rick. The statement was made this Tuesday (17), during the ContilNet broadcast at Carnival 2026.

The speech takes place amid political movements involving the acronym. Alan informed ContilNet that he has already started dialogues with the tucana national leadership to try to integrate the party with its base. At the same time, PSDB leaders are evaluating the possibility of joining Bocalom for a possible dispute for the government of Acre, especially given the PL’s silence on the mayor’s political future.

During the interview, Bocalom stated that the dispute for party support is natural in the electoral scenario, but highlighted his historical connection with the PSDB.

“All this is normal. Whoever is most convincing will bring it. But I have a story within the PSDB that Alan doesn’t have”, he said.

The mayor recalled that he contested several elections for the party, including candidacy for mayor of Rio Branco, governor of Acre and mandates in Acrelândia.

“I have six elections with the PSDB. 45 had a big impact on my life and had a big impact on people’s minds,” he said.

Bocalom also recounted an episode that occurred after he left the party, when he contested an election for another party and lost votes because voters still associated his image with the PSDB number.

According to him, identification with the acronym remained strong over the years and helped to consolidate his political trajectory.

The mayor also commented on the run for government in 2010, when he was a candidate for the PSDB, and stated that the experience strengthened his political projection in the state.

“I always say that time is the master of everything. I trust God a lot. If I couldn’t be governor back in 2010, who knows, it could be next year”, he declared.
