American actor Shia LaBeouf (39) was arrested on Tuesday in the city of New Orleans because he is suspected of attacking two men during the Mardi Gras carnival. TASR informs about it according to the report of the DPA agency. Police arrested the actor in the historic French Quarter in downtown New Orleans after receiving a report of an assault. According to them, LaBeouf behaved aggressively in one of the hotels.

A hotel employee tried to kick the actor out, but LaBeouf reportedly punched him several times outside the building. According to witnesses, he then left, but later returned and was even more aggressive. He then punched another man in the nose. After the arrest, the police took LaBeouf to the hospital, where he was treated for unspecified injuries. He was then arrested and charged with two counts of assault.
LaBeouf became famous at the beginning of the millennium thanks to the American television station Disney Channel. He later starred in films such as Heart of Iron or Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He played teenager Sam Witwicky in the Transformers series.
The actor almost disappeared from the Hollywood world after 2020 after he his former partner and musician FKA Twigs accused him of physical and psychological abuse. LaBeouf denied the allegations and last year they settled the dispute out of court.
