A friend of the Bolsonaro family, who is also expected to run for the Chamber, this week he published on his social networks a video from 2022 that shows Pavanato saying that the former president betrayed the Brazilian people.
“Many here have forgotten, but I remember day after day those who helped defeat President Bolsonaro in 2022,” wrote Diniz.
Another Bolsonaro parliamentarian said, with reservation, that the PL rolled out the red carpet for Pavanato, promising resources for his campaign and handing him the presidency of PL Jovem.
To the Panel, Pavanato says he regrets having criticized the former president, when he belonged to the MBL (Movimento Brasil Livre).
“Whoever attacks me is contradicting the validation of President Jair Bolsonaro himself, who invited me to the PL and said that my criticisms were water under the bridge,” said Pavanato.
“Bolsonaro is a political prisoner along with several other innocent people, we need to elect Flávio. I don’t have time for internal nitpicking, I prefer to work”, he concluded.
