New protests at Iranian elite university

Tehran – With the start of the new semester in Iran, new protests against the authoritarian regime have broken out at a renowned university. At the Sharif University of Technology in the capital Tehran, students shouted protest slogans, activists reported on social media. There were also clashes with the paramilitary, pro-government Basij units, as reported in the student newsletter Amirkabir was called.
