Three dead in a new "lethal attack" by the US against an alleged drug boat in the Pacific

The United States Army reported this Friday about a new attack against an alleged terrorist vessel in the eastern waters of the Pacific Ocean, alleging that it was supposedly transporting drugs. The event has ended with at least three fatalities.

“On February 20, under the direction of #SOUTHCOM commander General Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic attack against a vessel,” the US Armed Forces Southern Command said on social media.

The Command has indicated in the same publication that, according to Intelligence, the attacked ship “was transiting known drug trafficking routes in the eastern Pacific” and has asserted that “participated in drug trafficking operations.”

In the course of the operation, they have lost their lives, although “no member of the US military forces has been injured.”

This new attack is part of the so-calledinitiated by Washington in September of last year, which has caused the death of more than a hundred people and which is surrounded by controversy for not respecting Human Rights, according to the UN.

The presence of US military ships and aircraft in international waters began in the Caribbean and preceded the military intervention of January 3, 2026, when the United States captured the Venezuelan president in Caracas. Nicolas Maduro and later transferred him to a federal prison in New York.
