When I looked over the data for our election survey for the first time during the Vienna election in April of last year, I was struck: the female respondents stated significantly more often than the male respondents that the city had lost its quality of life. This gender difference was so unusual that the first thing we did at Foresight was look for a coding error in the data set. But there was no confusion; the women actually reported a negative development more often.
