The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) André Mendonça met this Monday (23) with the Federal Police (PF) in a meeting that lasted around two and a half hours, with the presence of the case’s investigators. The general director of the PF, Andrei Rodrigues, is traveling abroad and did not attend.

In a note, the STF stated that the meeting served to discuss the developments in the Master’s case in the Court. “During the hearing, the Federal Police presented an updated report on the stage of the investigations. The meeting also served to present to the Federal Police the list of Operation Compliance Zero processes and related developments that are being processed in the Court under the minister’s report”, says the note.

In a decision handed down last week, the minister had already reduced the confidentiality of the case and authorized the resumption of PF investigations and the expansion of the team of experts to analyze the items seized in the two phases of Operation Compliance Zero.

Now, the expectation is that investigators will finalize the first investigation in the coming weeks, which investigates suspected irregularities in the offer to purchase Master by Banco de Brasília – blocked by the Central Bank -, and expand the investigation of new fronts that are already open, such as suspected irregularities in the hiring of influencers to attack public authorities.

Also this Monday, Mendonça, the new rapporteur of the Master case at the Supreme Court, received the team of lawyers from Daniel Vorcaro, the bank’s owner. They had requested an agenda with the minister to present the defense’s arguments on the case.

At around 5pm, a team of Federal Police delegates attended the minister’s office to talk about the investigations. They reported to the minister the progress of the case to date and discussed a list of all processes related to the Master case that are being processed in the STF.

The conversation lasted around two and a half hours, with the presence of the case’s investigators. The general director of the PF, Andrei Rodrigues, is traveling abroad and did not attend.
