BTG/Nexus: 33% rate the Lula government as terrible

The BTG/Nexus survey released this Monday (29) indicated that 33% of voters evaluate the Lula government as “terrible”. Added to the percentage of Brazilians who see the mandate as “roomy“, a brand of 9%the negative index for the current PT administration reaches the number of 42%. Only 18% think the government performs “regularly”.

The positive evaluation rate of the third Lula government is around 38%. While 20% of voters evaluate the mandate as “good”, 18% see it as “great”. The poll numbers fluctuated amid a troubled week for the PT member, who had to deal with the results of the operation against the former government leader in the Senate, Jaques Wagner (PT-BA).

Approval and problems

When askedin general, regarding the government’s approval, 48% responded that they approve, and another 48% disapprove of the current mandate. The percentage of voters who do not know or did not respond is 4%.

Some themes helped shape, in a more limited way, the general perception of the government. The country’s economy remains an important topic on the negative spectrum, 51% of respondents classify it as bad or terrible30% as regular and 17% as excellent or good. Public safety, however, appears as the main element. The percentage of 29% of respondents consider it the main negative factor: 15% named it in first place.

Other problems still appear in the research, such as the corruption, health public, education e unemployment. In the case of corruption, 19% named it in first placewhile the public health reached the 12% mark. Only 14% see education as the main problemwhile 11% say it is unemployment.

The survey interviewed 2,009 voters between June 26th and 28th. The margin of error is plus or minus two percentage points, with a 95% confidence interval. The survey is registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under number BR-08521/2026.
