It continues with pothole filling actions in the city. On the morning of this Tuesday, 24th, teams from the Municipal Department of Works work on service fronts in the Canela Fina region, passing through the Boca da Virgínia neighborhood, and in the João Alves neighborhood. In addition, the city hall maintains other ongoing work such as debris removal, clearing, drainage and landfills.

He emphasized that the work has been carried out daily, including on weekends and holidays, to ensure better traffic conditions. He highlighted that, although the work was never interrupted, the period of intense rain made it difficult to advance the actions.

“Our teams are constantly on the streets, but the winter conditions make services difficult. There were weeks when we worked straight for three days just because the rain didn’t allow it,” he explained.

The manager also highlighted that management is already planning to increase investments in paving. “This year we will have asphalting many streets and also resurfacing those that have the greatest number of holes, to resolve them definitively,” he stated.

The municipal secretary of Works, Carlos Alves, informed that the teams are strategically distributed to serve different regions of the city. He also emphasized that the schedule has been extended to ensure greater agility in execution. “We start early and often enter at night, including on weekends and holidays, to respond to society”, he pointed out.
