The Christian Union (KÚ) fundamentally disagrees with the fact that while parents count every euro, oligarchs in the energy, armaments and gambling industries collect record profits. According to conservatives, families should not be an ATM of the government or a victim of its decisions. As reported on Tuesday, the money that the government of Robert Fico (Smer-SD) took from families with children will be returned to families with interest.
“Therefore, we will correct this injustice – we will return the money to the families with interest. We will exceptionally tax excessive profits in the energy sector, arms exports and gambling, and we will purposefully link these sources to the law on family allowances,” said KÚ.
According to her, Fico’s government deprived families with children of 500 million euros per year by reducing the tax bonus for children. “And instead of support, it brought them a series of family shocks – higher prices, higher taxes, uncertainty and the feeling that the state has forgotten them,” recalled KÚ.
