One couple was crossing a crosswalk when they were run over by a speeding car, in the early hours of last Friday (20). At the time, a man died and a woman was injured.
According to a police report, a bus driver, who was on the other side of the road, witnessed what happened and got out to help.
The accident occurred near an Assaí market, on Avenida Taboão da Serra, in São Paulo, and was caught on local security cameras. See below:
The 32-year-old woman and the man were pronounced dead at the scene by teams from SAMU (Mobile Emergency Care Service).
HAS CNN Brazilthe delegate in the case, Marcio Fruet, reported that the driver of the car was located and arrested this Tuesday (24). Two other men who were in the vehicle were also detained.
The case was registered at the 01st DP (Taboão da Serra) as manslaughter while driving a motor vehicle.
