“Innovation means showing that everyone else was wrong,” is written in large white letters on a Powerpoint slide from the start-up Anyconcept. What this means is that years of delays were expected when EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced at the AI Summit Paris on February 11, 2025 that Europe’s supercomputers would be made available to start-ups and researchers so that they can develop European AI solutions. Now, around a year later, Anyconcept has access to the above-mentioned computing power and is therefore one of the companies that rely on the offer of “AI Factory Austria” (“AI:AT”).
