Raquel Lyra’s allies deny alliance with Flávio Bolsonaro – 02/26/2026 – Politics

Allies of the governor of Pernambuco, (PSD), indicate that the partnership suggested by the senator’s notes on the state’s platforms should not come to fruition.

Flávio’s notes.

The list of pre-candidates discussed at party leadership meetings shows that, in Pernambuco, the only name considered by the PL for government is Raquel, who will run for re-election. When contacted by the report, the governor did not comment on the possible support of the PL, but her allies say that this proposal should not come to fruition.

Raquel Lyra remains close to (PT), which in 2022 had 67% of the votes in the second round in Pernambuco, compared to 33% for (PL). His opponent, the mayor of Recife, is from the PSB, who must join a coalition with the PT and, therefore, will be Lula’s platform.

Raquel reaffirmed to Lula, in a meeting this month, that she will support his re-election if he remains neutral in the state dispute.

Allies of the governor and even members of the PL in Pernambuco say that she should not campaign for Flávio. Bolsonaristas, however, say that she is the only option left to them, given that they rule out voting for João Campos.

“I have reservations about her, especially in terms of public security, but the only candidates in the state are Raquel and João. In the second round of the last election, I voted for her”, says federal deputy Coronel Meira (PL-PE).

The draft observations made by Flávio and obtained by the report also indicate another imbroglio in the state, in the dispute for the Senate. The names considered are Anderson Ferreira (PL) and Miguel Coelho ().

Anderson’s name, however, appears crossed out by Flávio and, in its place, the senator wrote “Mendonça Filho (PL)”, indicating an expectation that the former minister and now deputy will leave União Brasil and join the PL to run for the Senate. Mendonça did not respond to the report.

This possibility, however, divides the PL. “Cel Meira likes it. Only Gilson doesn’t like it”, wrote Flávio.

When contacted by the report, Bolsonaro’s former Minister of Tourism (Podemos) said that this observation is not correct. “I’m a friend of Mendonça, how can I be against it?”, he stated. He reinforced, however, that he is a pre-candidate for the Senate or Chamber and that he has Bolsonaro’s support to run.

Mendonça has already been approached by the PL to join and also has invitations from other parties. Despite being considered viable for the Senate, the deputy is currently working with the idea of re-election.

Flávio’s notes provide information about strategies on other platforms.

When dealing with Minas Gerais, Flávio noted that “pulls it down”. Mateus opposes Lula and is close to the Bolsonarist agenda, but the interpretation is that the senator made this observation because the vice president is already committed to supporting (Novo) in the presidential election.

Mateus stated that he has a good relationship with the PL in Minas and suggested that he could, if the party’s support for him is confirmed, form a double platform, with Zema and Flávio. The governor of Minas is also considered to be a candidate for vice president on Flávio’s ticket.

“I think my relationship with the local PL and with Nikolas [Ferreira] shows that this is a risk that we can minimize on a ‘mixed’ platform”, he told Sheet.

Another PL alternative, according to Flávio’s notes, is to launch the president of Fiemg, Flávio Roscoe, into the government. Roscoe is expected to leave the entity and join the PL next month, but his electoral future has not yet been decided.

In Paraná, there may also be a double platform if the governor (PSD) is a candidate for president. The PL list points to secretary Guto Silva (PSD), a name supported by Ratinho, and the senator (União Brasil) as possible candidates for government.

The . In Bahia, for example, he writes that he will look for ACM Neto (União Brasil) before setting up a platform. The former mayor and pre-candidate for government declined to comment.

In Alagoas, the two options for government are mayor JHC (PL) and deputy Alfredo Gaspar (União Brasil). “The only one who will ask for a vote for me”, observes Flávio in relation to Alfredo Gaspar. JHC was contacted for the report, but declined to comment.

An addendum on the back of the paper brings observations about Goiás, where the candidates for the Senate are deputy Gustavo Gayer (PL) and Gracinha Caiado (União Brasil), who is the wife of governor Ronaldo Caiado (PSD). There it is said that Gayer “thinks about giving up”, while deputy Daniel Agrobom (PL-GO) “wants to leave” and deputy Magda Mofatto (PSD-GO) “leaves”.

Flávio made a series of notes in relation to the mayor of Ananindeua, Daniel Santos (PSB), indicating that he could be vice-president of one of the names put forward for the government of Pará or could run for government in another party.

“It’s PSB today (doesn’t ask for a vote for FB/anti-Helder)”, in reference to governor Helder Barbalho (MDB), Lula’s ally.

The draft also says that research shows “a great chance of making a senator on this platform.” The list features Mário Couto (PL) and Simão Jatene (PL) as possible names for the government and Joaquim Passarinho (PL) and Eder Mauro (PL) for the Senate.

Other states

There is no name for the Government of Sergipe on the list, but Flávio’s pen entry says “Ricardo Max (PL)”. This is Ricardo Marques (Cidadania), vice-mayor of Aracaju. The senator also pointed out: “he was an anchor at Globo”.

For the Senate, those listed are Rodrigo Valadares, who would exchange União Brasil for the PL, and Coronel Rocha. The name of Eduardo Amorim (PSDB) appears crossed out.

The mayor of Natal, Álvaro Costa Dias, should leave the Republicans for the PL and run for Government in Rio Grande do Norte, according to the document. “Our platform” and “event on March 21”, he says. The names for the Senate include Senator Styvenson Valentim (PSDB) and Coronel Hélio Oliveira (PL), the first of which appears with the note “elected”.

The draft, when dealing with Amazonas, contains a note from Flávio that governor Wilson Lima (União Brasil) would have “80% disapproval”. Just below there is the name Alfredo Nascimento, president of PL-AM, with the inscription “it’s from Valdemar”. The PL in the state is part of the Wilson administration.

The candidate for government would be Maria do Carmo (PL) — according to the explanation made by the senator, she was a candidate for vice-mayor on the ticket of deputy Captain Alberto Neto (PL), who lost the Manaus City Council in 2024. Alberto Neto, in turn, appears as an option for the Senate alongside senator Plínio Valério, who would exchange the PSDB for the PL.

In addition to them, the name of councilor Sergeant Salazar (PL) is handwritten and the note “we lose if there is a composition with Wilson”.

Regarding Roraima, Flávio notes that governor Antonio Denarium (PP) could be impeached. There, the candidate for government would be former deputy Teresa Surita (MDB), while the candidates for Senate would be the mayor of Boa Vista, Arthur Henrique (PL), and senator Mecias de Jesus (Republicans).

In Rondônia, the scenario is undefined. Senator Marcos Rogério (PL) is nominated for both the Senate and the government. Three other names to the Senate submit observations. Fernando Máximo (União Brasil) “comes to the PL if Bruno is not a candidate”. With Bruno Scheid (PL) “we are going to lose, we lost Marcos Rogério”. And Colonel Marcos Rocha (União Brasil) “must stay in office (he will not be a candidate)”.
