American actress and singer Liza Minnelli did not stop longing for passionate love even at the age of 79. The Oscar winner, who has previously been married to Peter Allen, Jack Haley Jr., Mark Gero and David Gest, opens up about her relationships in Kids, Wait Until You Hear This!. And she admits that she fantasizes about a relationship with an eighteen-year-old young man whom she only knows by sight.
The star of the movie Cabaret admits that she would like to date very different men. In an excerpt published by People magazine, he states: “I would ideally like to date an older, elegant man who dresses beautifully and is fabulously rich. Then I would like to date a forty year old man who is passionate about something. I don’t care what for. And then I’d like to date an eighteen-year-old whom I see twice a week and whose name I don’t know.’
Liza Minnelli married David Gest in March 2002, the couple separated in July of the following year and divorced in 2007. Gest died in April 2016. The actress recalls that she felt like a prisoner in her marriage. “Apparently I wasn’t sober when I married that clown. He didn’t just check everything I ate from morning to night. He controlled the people I saw and talked to on the phone. He filtered my calls. I was actually his prisoner,” she wrote.
