The client center of the Komárno District Office will operate in a limited mode from Friday (February 27). Based on the structural engineer’s assessment that most of the premises can be used, will provide services in a limited mode in the area of trade, documents and vehicle registration. TASR was informed about this by the spokesman of the Ministry of the Interior (MV) Matej Neumann.
“In the current situation, the Ministry of the Interior asks the public to respect the instructions of the staff. We are making every effort to return the client center to standard mode as soon as possible. We will update the information gradually,” said Neumann. The department also pointed out that the premises of the client center are entered through the rear employee entrance from the parking lot. Clients will be notified of this by a temporary navigation.
On Wednesday (February 25), a concrete shelter that was placed above the entrance to the client center building on Záhradnícká street in Komárno fell. One person lost his life in the tragedy, two others were injured. The investigator of the Police Force started a criminal prosecution in the matter for the crime of general endangerment. The circumstances of the tragedy are the subject of further police investigation.
